Groundwork NRG is proud to launch the pilot for our new WiFi Hotspot and Laptop Computer lending library. By visiting one of our checkout locations, you can borrow a device and bring it home for two weeks. After two weeks, you can request a renewal, up to three times.

Groundwork NRG reserves the right to refuse renewals based on demand.

Terms & conditions

Borrowers are required to abide by the following terms and conditions:

  1. WiFi hotspots and laptops have a checkout period of two weeks. Following the two-week checkout period, borrowers can renew up to three times. Each renewal extends the check out period by an additional two weeks. 

  2. To renew, call/text 913-608-9338, or email gwnrg.library@northeastkck.org with your name and indicate which devices you wish to renew. Your checkout is not considered renewed until confirmation is given by Groundwork NRG. Groundwork NRG reserves the right to refuse or limit renewals based on library demand.

  3. This is a temporary pilot which will run during spring 2022. Devices checked out from this Technology Library in the future may utilize a modified policy.

  4. WiFi hotspots and laptops may be returned to:

    1. Village Initiative, Inc | 3004 N 27th St KCK 66104, Monday-Friday from 10-2 PM

    2. Groundwork NRG | 803 Armstrong Ave KCK 66101, Monday-Friday from 10-4 PM

    3. St. Paul’s Episcopal | 1300 N 18th St KCK 66102, Monday-Thursday from 10-4 PM (call 913-321-3535 to get inside). 

    4. Other times or locations by arrangement.

  5. The registered borrower who signs below is responsible for the safe-keeping of the device(s) they check out. If a device is used by someone other than the original borrower, the original borrower remains responsible for returning the device(s) in good condition.

  6. Checkouts are limited to one laptop and one WiFi hotspot per borrower. If a household contains multiple individuals, each individual can borrow their own device(s). Devices must be signed for by the individual checking out the device.

  7. Laptops and WiFi hotspots are to be returned in the same condition as they were issued, barring normal wear and tear. All parts, including boxes and chargers must be returned along with the device. Laptops and WiFi hotspots are borrowed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
